The Aqua Show is performed in a water park which is one element of a 9 square kilometer resort development on the outskirts of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China by the company OCT, which includes mountains, waterfalls, lakes, nature trails, complete towns, hotels and luxury residential accommodation.
The hour long show – in which OCT has invested 20 million Euros - is a high-octane, water-based multimedia mix of music, choreographed dance, thrilling stunts and breathtaking aerial performances created by The Generating Company with Mark Fisher as Creative Producer and directed by Abigail Yeates.
Technical Production Manager was Terry Cook, Chief Rigger was Dave Williams, Dive Consultant was Pete Voggenthaler, Richard Knight was lighting Manager and lighting programming was by Alex Passmore.
Now that the Chinese are developing the show the lighting designer is Mr Qi Lu and the colourful highly choreographed visual extravaganza originally created by The Generating Company is now directed by Mr Xia Dao.
